My story with Reiki began in 2011, when I was living in England and working as a designer in the fashion industry. During a shamanic visionary experience, I was shown myself living and working in a tropical location — people who were unwell were coming to me, I was placing my hands on them, and they were leaving feeling healed. At the time, I had no idea how to interpret it.
Not long after, I read a book that mentioned the word “Reiki” — and the moment I read it, the hair stood up on my arms. I knew instantly that this was what I had been shown. I booked a session with a local Reiki master, completed Reiki Levels I and II, and practised as a Reiki practitioner for almost a year.
When a client asked me to teach them, I felt the pull to become a Reiki Master/Teacher. Remembering the tropical setting from my vision, I completed a Reiki Master training course combined with a detox program on Koh Phangan in 2012. I relocated to Thailand in 2013, and by 2018 we had established Anahata Resort here in Koh Samui.
The Reiki training we offer today is my way of paying that vision forward — giving others the opportunity to bring this healing modality into their own lives, whether as part of their own self-healing practice or to support others on their healing journeys.
