Learn Anahata Reiki: Train at Anahata School of Natural Healing

Throughout history, people have turned to spiritual and energetic practices in times of stress and uncertainty. As life grows busier and more demanding, many are looking for simple, natural ways to reconnect with themselves — and, increasingly, to become healers in their own right. If you have ever felt drawn to learn a hands-on healing art, Reiki is one of the most accessible and profound places to begin.
What Is Reiki?
Reiki is a system of subtle energy healing using laying on of hands and distant healing techniques, which originated in 19th-century Japan. This special healing technique was rediscovered by the Japanese spiritualist Dr. Mikao Usui. Reiki issues from the limitless source of spiritually guided, intelligent energy in the Universe — the same force responsible for life itself and for all healing. It comes from a divine source, or higher power, that is the organizing principle of the Universe.
Reiki is available to all people regardless of belief system, and is transmitted through a unique system of attunements. These attunements open the student's own capacity to channel subtle energy through the hands — a gift that, once received, stays with you for life.

What Does Reiki Do?
Reiki relaxes and de-stresses, as the flow of subtle energy promotes healing on all levels: spiritual, mental, physical and emotional, as well as other levels of which we are not always consciously aware. Trained practitioners use Reiki to treat people, animals and plants, and more broadly for situational energy balancing and Earth healing.
How Does Reiki Work?
Reiki energy is drawn by intent — both conscious and unconscious — through the practitioner, according to the needs of the person receiving the treatment. Reiki always heals for the best and highest good of the recipient, the practitioner and the Universe. Because of this unique system, the practitioner and recipient are healed simultaneously; both benefit from multi-level healing, and neither is compromised by the condition of the other.
This is part of what makes Reiki such a remarkable practice to learn — as a practitioner, you are never drained by the healing experience. You give, and you receive, in the same moment.
Who Can Learn Reiki?
Anyone who has been attuned and taught by a Reiki master can go on to use Reiki for themselves and for others. Once you are attuned, Reiki flows automatically whenever your hands are placed on a person, animal or situation in need of healing. No special skills, background or prior experience are required — only a genuine desire to learn and to use this energy. Reiki training is open to people of all religious and cultural backgrounds, at any stage of life.
What Makes Anahata Reiki Different
Anahata Wellbeing Resort is the name of the heart chakra — the energetic centre associated with love, compassion and connection. It is also the name we have chosen for our own approach to this practice, and for the school itself.
At Anahata School of Natural Healing, our teachers train students specifically in Anahata Reiki, working from a heart-centered place, attuned to the frequency of unconditional love. This heart-centered quality complements the traditional flow of Reiki energy, creating a coherent, loving field for both practitioner and recipient. When you train with us, you are not just learning a technique — you are learning to work from the heart, so that every treatment you go on to give carries that same warmth and coherence.
What You Will Experience as You Learn
As you train, you will discover that every experience a person carries leaves an energetic imprint on the body. Difficult experiences can leave a deeper imprint, blocking the natural flow of energy and affecting physical, mental, emotional and spiritual wellbeing. Part of your training will be learning to sense these blockages, and to trust your hands as they are drawn to the areas that need attention most.
You will also learn how emotions can surface during a session — for you as the giver, and for those you treat — and how to hold space for that with calm, non-judgemental presence. This is one of the deepest gifts of Reiki training: not just the ability to move energy, but the capacity to sit with another person's healing, heart-centered and fully present.
